INFO FOR BEGINNERS: For your comfort, safety, & our peace of mind (!) please wear shoes that are : a comfortable b that have heel and ankle support c that slide on the floor so you can turn, but are not too slippery! d that have a fairly broad heel i.e. not stilettos to be suitable. b Flimsy slingbacks or mules are not suitable. Although they may feel cool on a hot day, there is no support for your ankle and you can easily turn awkwardly and twist it. d Stilettos of any sort are not suitable - (they do dreadful things to your back and cause damage to wooden floors - also to other's feet if you happen to step on someone by accident!!) There are some steps where you need to take the weight on the heel, so a broad heel base and a lowish heel are good here. IT'S NOT NECESSARY TO BUY SPECIAL DANCE SHOES. THE MAIN THING IS THAT THEY ARE SAFE & COMFORTABLE & SUITABLE FOR YOUR FEET. PLEASE ASK US IF YOU'RE NOT SURE.
